Praise the Lord!!
We made it safely... after 26 hours and 3 flights of travel, we arrived in J-burg around 10:30 last night (local time). All our flights were great, we made it to each of them right on time (after hustling to get through the airports). But the timing was perfect.
Today Chelsey and I toured around Soweto, a township in Johannesburg, all day with our guide and new friend Martin. It was a lot of fun to ride around and explore. We learned all about South Africa's history. I still can't believe we are here!
Tomorrow our flight for Pemba leaves at 8:40 and then we'll be on our way. Not sure how frequent the updates will be from that point on.
I am so thankful for all of your prayers. I was super nervous Thursday morning as we left, but through yuor prayers and the work of the Lord I was incredibly comforted throughout the day. Everything went perfectly. I know that He is our caretaker & provider and in that i can find rest.

ReplyDeleteI second Maggie. I'm rarely getting on the internet this summer...only to see if you and others in the field have posted blogs and other prayer requests. I love you very much and I am praying for you as you travel and settle in what will be your home.
