The Lord is Provider!

Hello everyone!

I am new to this whole blogging thing... a little bit nervous... but excited as well... I hope to be able to post updates throughout my trip so that everyone can stay updated on how to pray and praise throughout the journey.

So far the Lord has been nothing but faithful in his provision for my trip. He helped me to find my missing passport and has been so faithful in providing funds for me to be able to pay for my flights, tuition and whatnot. I am unable to even put into words how thankful I am to everyone who has so faithfully given to my trip. Everyday I am so humbled as I receive more and more support from friends and family. It has been such a testimony to God's goodness and provision, His promise to take care of us. I am thankful also to know and to feel that I am so covered in prayer. What a beautiful gift every one of you has given me. I thank all of you for playing such a huge role in my story.

So here are the updates:

flights are officially booked. Chelsey & I leave from Knoxville (lord willing) May 28 around 4pm, fly through Detroit, Amsterdam, Johannesburg, Maputo and on into Pemba- where I will be staying.

due to the lack of flights in and out of Pemba, we have a days layover in Johannesburg, spending two nights in the city. so I really ask you to be praying for our time there. I am kind of nervous about traveling through such a dangerous, impoverished city, but I am trusting the Lord to take care of us and keep us safe.

my money is almost completely raised for the trip, Praise the Lord!

passport- check! still waiting to receive my visa in the mail.

chelsey is still working on raising support money so i ask all of you to continue in prayer, especially that we trust in Him, knowing that His timing is not always the same as our own.

I am really getting more and more excited every day for what is in store. I am so glad to be able to share this experience with all of you. Thank you for your prayers and concerns.

Love and Peace,
Kelly
